I enjoyed the balanced views of your presentation. I was hesitant to share this in class, but I will on the blog. I dropped acid in college, and was the sober friend to many who had a very, very bad time with it. "Bad" meaning the effects of acid last many years.
The thing about acid is that it doesn't just "turn off" like a light switch in your body. An entire year later, you can be on a subway w/ friends, hear the screeching of the tracks and see an enormous phoenix flying towards you (true hallucination). I was in art college at the time, and I believe it added to the creative block which only broke six years ago.
I'm not saying you taught this in your presentation. It's just a warning from personal experience to some who seemed enchanted by the idea in class.
