Sarah Silverman at TED [Explicit Language]

Sarah Silverman to me is a comic almost in the same level as Rivers and Carlin. That said, good luck getting through this video (I hope you do because she makes a really good point.)

After viewing this material, I want you to give yourself some silence and just everything in your mind away. Just breath in and out for a few minutes. Then think about what she said.

  1. Abner, what she said in the video doesn't offend me. She reminds me of early Madonna. She knows the value of shock. She's a comic. She's gotta come up with something that sets her aside from the others. She can't do Ellen, or Eddy Izzard, so she's coming up with her persona.

I'm connecting virtual dots here, but I bet she's trying to come to terms with being childless, which many women have to deal with. Since she's a comic, perhaps this is the way she does it?

Have you heard of Lenny Bruce? He was pulled off stage and arrested because of his use of profanity. What's so funny about was that during his trial, the court was so offended, they couldn't even say the profane words because they were so offended... and these were judges!

You might netflix the movie "Lenny" which I'm told is factually historical.

And by the way, what I love about how you participate, is that you take risks, Abner. That's to be applauded. What's offensive to me, is when folks just sit there and wait out the time, as if it's okay to ignore whatever is going on.

Hope you have a great weekend.
