Mother of Inventions

Oishi, neh???

At first I thought this thing was to keep the soup from splashing, but then wouldn't it also cover the front of her shirt?

It looks like Miso Ramen.  Mmmm.....

Grandpa & Grandma Have a New Webcam

This is just for laughs.  I love old people and I love how they love each other.
I need your expertise!  This is a b/w photo of coloured paper shapes for a class project.  It's shot on the floor with a black paper backing.   I have a new camera which I know little about, and I just pressed the button and it shot in b/w.  Lucky accidents.

The problem is I can't hand in a photo; it has to be a drawing.  So how do I get this thing to look like this, but as a drawing?

C'mon all you creative young minds, help me out.

Everything is a Remix Series

Jonathan Knudsen-Adams
These videos are from Everything is a Remix. They shine a spotlight on the creative industry and how copyright laws are actually inhibiting it as they do not allow creative thinkers to take other people's ideas and modify them to create something new.

Now. The artists are fine, I love a few including Y. Ono. However, I love the idea of the pavilion itself and the concept of the project. Zaha Hadid, one of my favourites, designed the pavilion that can be collapsed and rebuilt to suit the purpose and vision of Chanel's designer Karl Lagerfeld.

Sarah Silverman at TED [Explicit Language]

Sarah Silverman to me is a comic almost in the same level as Rivers and Carlin. That said, good luck getting through this video (I hope you do because she makes a really good point.)

After viewing this material, I want you to give yourself some silence and just everything in your mind away. Just breath in and out for a few minutes. Then think about what she said.

Creative Ideas/Innovations

Nalisha Arakaki
Here is something I found that I thought was creative. This is from 9gag.com. It's a nice way to improvise especially if you don't have anything else to wear.

Hitchhiker's Choice

Jonathan Knudsen-Adams
This video I came across a few years ago has encouraged me to draw more (for pleasure). It is the official music video for a tack by a Swedish electronic duo called Minilogue. It is a stop-motion animation done on a whiteboard, and it has been copied and re-done by other artists through other means such as claymation (like "Wallace and Gromit" and "A Nightmare Before Christmas") and inspired many others to make whiteboard animations.

Creative Ideas/Innovations

Anne Carter
My nephew plays a major role in the company, (obscuradigital.com) and I am very excited about what they are doing with projections and interactive visuals, as you can see!

Creative Ideas/Innovations

Johann Olegario
I have always found the music group 'OK Go' to be very creative.
They have done Rube Goldberg Devices in one of their videos, but in their latest video they create music by driving through a course that they made and it is because of their videos like these that I like them for their creativity more than their music itself.
