Tyra Banks and Subjective Meaning

Thursday, July 12, 2012

Hi.  I found the Texas Republican party platform and found it outrageous in manyh areas.  This bit about education, though, is particularly noteworthy and brings to mind much of what we discussed in class about our current backward approaches to public education.  Check it out, it is their officially stated platform:

Knowledge-Based Education – We oppose the teaching of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) (values clarification), critical thinking skills and similar programs that are simply a relabeling of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) (mastery learning) which focus on behavior modification and have the purpose of challenging the student’s fixed beliefs and undermining parental authority.

Controversial Theories – We support objective teaching and equal treatment of all sides of scientific theories. We believe theories such as life origins and environmental change should be taught as challengeable scientific theories subject to change as new data is produced.

American Identity Patriotism and Loyalty We believe the current teaching of a multicultural curriculum is divisive. We favor strengthening our common American identity and loyalty instead of political correctness that nurtures alienation among racial and ethnic groups.

Folks, Please vote and let's get the Dems a majority in Congress so that this country can move forward, and not back!

The first post for my other blog for a long time is about Ephron. Honestly, would it take a death for me to write again?

I'm in a design contest and I need your vote. Voting is quite difficult as I see, because it seems that you have to browse through the thousands of entries just to click "I'd wear this". However, let's just enjoy these.

Remake Project

I chose to remake Andy Warhol Marlin Monroe with a picture of myself using Photoshop.
At first, I was trying different filters in Photoshop for example invert, photo filter and so forth but ended up just using the paint brush tool and painted the colors in. The process was not what I expected but anyhow it's done and I think I could of worked on the right cheek a little more but I like my right eye.

Jennifer Tato's REMAKE PROJECT HUMANLAND

HUMANLAND Final Cut: Rule # 1 Zombie Cardio :)

ZOMBIELAND Original Clip: Rule #1 Cardio

Here is the finalized version of my remake project which I wrote and directed from the original. In the original clip of Zombieland, a lone kid is trying to survive a world infested with zombies. He lays down one fundamental rule among other rules in order to survive. In my remake project I chose to make a reversed scenario from the zombie's perspective. The last zombie in the world trying to survive the Human Apocalypse. I chose to keep the one fundamental rule from the original clip "Cardio" because I thought it was both funny and a key element from the original clip. A guide, or perhaps set of rules to surviving an Apocalypse. Enjoy & please like my video :) thank you!

See it or Read it?

I wanted to express between word and picture.
In remake 1 case, I founded four of words in creative thinking title.
Could you guess it? ; )
I made the second remake picture by letter.
It's all up to you how you want to interpret!
Thanks!

Creativity and Chakra's

Our Chakras are centers of energy located in the midline of our body. There are seven Chakras located in our body. The most well known and widely accepted Chakra system is the Hindu system. The word Chakra, is Sanskrit meaning ‘wheel’. The Chakras start at the base of the spine and go up through your head. The Kundalini is a dormant potential force in humans. Inside every human being there is a network of nerves and sensory organs that interpret the outside world. The seven major Chakras correspond to specific aspects of our consciousness and have their own individual characteristics and functions. Each Chakra has relation to the various glands in our body’s endocrine system, as well as to one of the seven colors of the rainbow. We record every thought and feeling in our chakras and they remain there until they are released. As we evolve and live our lives it is important for us to grow and move forward shedding and evolving these old ideas. Each of these Chakras play a very important role in the creative processes of our life.
Disruptions in the flow of energy within and between these Chakras can block our creative processes. You are unable to move your physical, emotional and mental body to a higher level of spiritual awareness. We are often stuck in reality and our physical bodies and are not listening to our inner self, our inner spirit and higher self. The Chakras manifest the energy imbalance into your physical life. These disturbances are a big issue in why many of us lead less creative lives than we would if we realized our full creative potential.
Creativity is our birthright and is a necessary part of living whole and our movement toward healing. Creativity is essential to our lives. Creativity sparks our spiritual movement toward wholeness and understanding. It is our creativity that allows us to choose the life we want to live. We have the ability to imagine and dream and communicate our thoughts and inner feelings. Creativity allows the flow between energy and matter to open, connecting with our beautiful mother earth, providing natural power and drive to be creative in ways we have never imagined. The Chakras are all involved in our creative expressions. Each Chakra has a unique and powerful role to play in creativity.

Root or Base Chakra “Muladhara”

The Muladhara is the bottom of the Chakras, and is associated with the element earth. This Chakra is located at the base of the spine in the sacral plexus. This Chakra is the start place of the Kundalini. Physical activity strengthens this Chakra. This Chakra deals with physical identity, survival, stability, instinctual nature, and ambition. This Chakra connects our bodies to the physical plane. The Element earth represents this Chakra, with a red color. When the root Chakra is unbalanced all the Chakras are unable to balance themselves without a solid foundation.

Spleen Chakra “Svadhisthana”

The Svadhisthana is where new ideas, life and creativity are born, with the element water. It connects our relationship with others and the world around us. Our creativity and free will all reside within this Chakra. Free will and choice are all born from here. This Chakra is located at the hips, pelvic region. The heart of our relationships. If your having trouble being creative most likely this Chakra is blocked and needs to be opened. This Chakra builds on the characteristics of first.

Solar Plexus Chakra “Manipura”

The Manipura Chakra is found between the navel and the chest and is related to the color yellow. The third Chakra governs self direction, self control, personal will and energy. The third Chakra energy is reflected in the desire to create and to imagine, and manifest desires to the physical world. The energies that come together in this Chakra help us to mature in our self understanding. This Chakra compels us to create an identity apart from our tribal self.

Heart Chakra “Anahata”

The Anahata Chakra, located near the center of the breastbone represents higher consciousness and love. The Chakra is associated with the heart, thymus gland, lungs and circulatory system. This Chakra is a key balancing point for all Chakras. The color Green is associated with this chakra representing harmony, creativity, health, nature. The fourth Chakra mediates between the body and the spirit. This Chakra resonates our emotional perceptions, which determine the quality of our lives. We are attracted by love as we intimated by it. This Chakra embodies the spiritual lessons and shows us the most powerful energy we have is love.

Throat Chakra “Visuddha”

The Visuddha Chakra, is your communication center located in the center of your throat. This Chakra is associated with thyroid gland, upper lungs and respiratory system. The throat Chakra oversees your ability to make responsible decisions and speak for yourself, it is your spiritual voice. The throat Chakra is associated with the color blue. Blue is symbol of inspiration, devotion, and infinity. This Chakra is our will center. This Chakra is all about self expression and communication. It is directly connected with our ability to express inner creativity.

Brow of Third Eye Chakra “Anja”

The Anja Chakra, is the Chakra of forgiveness and compassion. It is the narrow gate which opens the way for our consciousness to ascend to its final destination. The color is indigo is associated with this Chakra. The third eye is associated with the Pineal gland in the body. The pineal gland has much to offer when it comes to creativity, insight, intuition and thought. Located deep inside our brain between the two hemispheres. This gland acts as the main control center sending signals to all the other glands. Opening of the third eye results in personal access to higher knowledge and enlightened consciousness.

Crown Chakra “Sahasrara”

The Sahasrara Chakra integrates all the Chakras with their respective qualities. It is the last milestone on the evolution of human awareness. The Chakra encompasses the crown of the head. The Kundalini passes through the top of your head. The Crown Chakra is associated with pineal gland, brain, and central nervous system. Links individual and universal energy and allows you to see the world as a whole. Balanced crown Chakras allow for expanded awareness. The color associated with this chakra is violet. Its role is to secrete hormones and energy to the rest of the endocrine system connected to the central nervous system. The Crown Chakra is our sense of beauty, creativity, and inspiration. Directly relates to self knowledge and spiritual awareness and is the union with our higher self. It is a place of all knowing, beyond limits of space and time.
Each Chakra is directly linked to your present. Having the Chakras properly opened and balanced results in good emotions, mental and spiritual health. Having a balance energy level throughout your Chakras allows balanced Kundalini, making your mind and body act in total unison. When you understand that we are more  than our physical bodies, then you also understand that it is just as important to pay attention to and the care of our non physical, or energy body. Your thoughts and emotions will be as clear and easy to understand. Developing your psychic and spiritual abilities has been going on for thousands of years. Through their meaning colors, symbols we can embrace the whole history of humanity starting from its root toward its supreme realization. Each progress we make is our personal path toward enlightenment. The balance between mental and physical is such fine thread. It is up to us as human beings to absorb and project reality. With a expanded awareness and consciousness we can experience life on an enlightened path. We live in such a amazingly interesting, changing and challenging time. We live in a time with infinite potential and possibility and truly have the opportunity to be and do it all. This is the time for us to dream big, spread our wings and choose to experience a wonderful life because everything we could possibly wish for is within our reach.

5 Tips to Ignite your Chakras and Creativity

1. Find a meditation/ yoga technique that works for you. There are many techniques from various disciplines and cultures worldwide. Focus on the color and symbols of the Chakra that you want to ignite. It is totally up to you to incorporate and make you own technique that you are comfortable with. Practice as much as possible.

2.  Do not compare yourself with others. We are all unique individuals and are miracles of existence. Find your unique path and follow it without letting anybody effect you level. Exercise your uniqueness and do what you need to fulfill yourself.

3. Stop procrastinating and start painting, writing, journaling, photographing, dancing, or whatever it is that gives you joy. Listening to music will inspire you and link up your creativity. When you are joyful, and creative, you will be vibrating at a higher frequency, and will attract more good things into your life.

4. Visit temples, museums, artwork and embrace yourself with the beauty of creation. Get inspired and create with influences fresh in your mind.

5. Keep your Chakras energized. Once you have discovered your unique voice and vision, express you unbounded creativity, share with others and help create our beautiful world.

Hotel California , American wedding mash up.

There are many cover I could have done or remixes But I chose hotel California by the eagles due to recent issues with It's copyright laws hotel California is a song by the eagles and has been done over and over By many artists recently though frank ocean a upcoming singer did his own rendition and has been told not to preform one of his hit songs from his standout ep nolostgia, ultra don henley told the singer if he preformed it again he should have serious legal issues with his lawyers. Franks oceans only response was I did it for the memorie of hotel Cali not to disgrace it or change it eagles . frank ocean.
